The new Vivo Y28 series phones have 6.56-inch LCD panels with a refresh rate of 90 Hz and are powered by MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ 5G SoCs with up to 8GB of RAM. The Vivo Y28s and Y28e include an IP64-rated construction for dust and water protection, along with a 5,000mAh battery. There are two rear camera modules on both phones. The Vivo Y28e sports a 13-megapixel primary camera, while the Vivo Y28s sports a 50-megapixel Sony IMX852 sensor. Vivo Y28s, Y28e: What’s New:
The Vivo Y28s is a successor to the Vivo Y27s. Starting with the display, the Vivo Y28e screen size has been reduced to 6.56- inches from 6.64- inches. The resolution is also downgraded from FHD+ to HD. This should result in not-so-crisp visuals, be it for gaming or media consumption. However, one major upgrade is the inclusion of a 5G network compared to 4G LTE on the Vivo Y27s. The fast charging speed is downgraded from 44W to 15W. This is despite the battery capacity remaining at 5,000 mAh.
On the other hand, the Vivo Y28e is budget-friendly in India. It will take a leap on popular phones like the POCO M6 Pro, Vivo T3 Lite, and others. The POCO ships with a FHD+ resolution, and the screen size is also larger, at 6.79 inches. The Vivo T3 comes with Dimensity 6300, compared to Dimensity 6100. There should be some performance differences. The POCO M6 Pro 5G has the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset.
The competition offers a better camera combination: 50MP + 2MP compared to the 13MP dual cameras on the Vivo Y28e.
