Sony Could Launch PS5 Pro Later This Year Ahead Of GTA 6 Launch In 2025: Report

There is a very high chance that Sony might launch its new console, the PS5 Pro, later this year. According to reports, rather than launching a new series of PS (PS6), they will replicate the PS5 with more compatibility and features in the PS5 Pro.

Given the hype for GTA 6, which is set to launch in 2025, it makes sense for Sony to release a new powerful console for upcoming games.

Additionally, Microsoft is also in line with its plans to launch a new console to meet the requirements for GTA 6 and provide a good experience to their customers via the PS5 Pro and the Xbox One X, respectively. Considering the time left until GTA 6 is launched, there is a high chance that both brands might upgrade their consoles within the same series. However, we can expect the price to increase compared to previous console launches.

“There seems to be a broad consensus in the game industry that Sony is indeed preparing to launch a PS5 Pro in the second half of 2024,” said Serkan Toto, CEO of Kantan Games, in an interview with CNBC. He also mentioned that Sony is aiming to provide the same and even more powerful experience to their users as they did with the successful launch of GTA 5.
